With a background in product design and silversmithing - graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1967, Roger's career journey has crossed over between engineering, product design, jewellery design and education.

His own jewellery design business attracted many prestigious clients including Andre Bogaert, Theo Fennell, Gucci, Leo De Vroomen, De Beers, Platinum Shop, Troika (to name a few).

Roger's pneumatic inventions have been introduced into many well-known companies, whilst his 'RT Blanking System' has been sold widely in America and the UK and published by the Goldsmiths Company as a technical document. This technique is now used by many jewellers to elevate their work into volume production and a number of US businesses supply this type of tool under the name of 'Pancake Tooling'.

Roger is no stranger to Argentium - during his roles as Senior Lecturer and Course Leader of Applied Arts at Middlesex University, he worked alongside Peter Johns during the early development of Argentium. It was during this time that Roger discovered and explored the fusion properties of Argentium Silver.

Nowadays, Roger is a consultant for Ti Sento and Tirisi Jewellery, while continuing to do private commissions and specials for Theo Fennell, Stephen Webster and others. A lot of his work is based on CNC precious metal cutting.

Roger has been invited to offer his skills to the promotion of Argentium, initially through the Jewellery Maker programme... "This will now allow me to come back to inspiring people to the creative and magical world of working in metals, especially with the magic of Argentium."
