The Ranch - Center for Arts & Craft
Corrugation and microfolding offer endless possibilities for creativity that result in exciting textures and forms. The undulations make thin metal stronger, making it possible to make large, yet light and strong jewelry as well as vessels ---- a real advantage with today’s metal prices!
When fold forming techniques are combined with corrugated metal, the metal is "microfolded". During this exciting course, Cynthia Eid will demonstrate forming and textural possibilities of manipulation using pliers, fingers, and rolling mills in addition to the use of the microfold brake. Participants will have the opportunity for hands on practice and experimentation after each demonstration – with the choice of making samples or creating finished designs.
Cynthia will also be introducing us to the what's and wherefor's of Argentium!
